Swimming pool architects in Oxfordshire

At Horsley and Townsend we are a team of architects with wide-ranging experience in design unique swimming pools in Oxfordshire. Our expertise will give you beautifully designed pool to enhance your lifestyle and add value to your property.

We offer our clients a bespoke design service which is tailored to suit their individual budget and requirements. So, whether you’re looking for a detached pool house, a pool extension to your home or basement pool conversion, we can help you turn your ideas into reality.

In terms of choosing the ideal location for your pool, the options available will depend on the amount of outside space you have. Where space allows, a pool extension or detached pool building usually offer the perfect solution. However, if you have insufficient exterior space, it may be possible to add a basement pool to your property, or locating a pool in an existing building such as a barn. Whichever option to decide to choose, we’ll use our expertise to ensure the completed project complements your home and its surrounding landscape.

It can sometimes prove to be a challenge when acquiring planning permission for indoor pool or detached pool buildings in locations such as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or conservation areas, or when carrying out alterations on a listed building.

As experienced swimming pool architects in Oxfordshire, we’ll use our expertise to ensure your project runs smoothly by providing a design which meets local planning restrictions and your design requirements.

Each pool design project is completely unique and as a result we take great pride in working closely with our clients. We know from experience that this is the best way to achieve an outcome which will exceed your expectations.

Our approach starts with an initial design consultation during which we will discuss your ideas and aspirations for the project. We will respond to your brief by creating initial plans for your approval and which can also be used to begin work on gaining the relevant planning permissions. Then, once permissions have been approved, we will submit the plans required for building regulations.

The final step in the design stage takes place when we submit tenders to experienced pool building contractors, and once construction is underway, we will continue to provide support through regular on-site visits.
