Grantley Hall, Luxury Hotel with Spa

Grantley Hall, Grade 2* Listed Hotel and Spa

Horsley Townsend Architects designed the conversion, refurbishment and extension of this Grade 2* listed former stately home into a hotel and spa for Grantley Hall Ltd.

Horsley Townsend were the sole architects for the project from inception all the way through into the early construction stages of the project; including obtaining planning permission and listed building consent for the conversion of the main Grade II* Listed Hall; for the new spa building and bedrooms; and for the new staff accommodation. Horsley Townsend Architects also designed the new garden pavilion containing the subterranean Valeria’s cocktail bar.

The later construction stages were undertaken by Bowman Riley.

The oldest parts of the hall date back to the late 17th Century. The extensions include a 25,000 square feet spa, 25 new bedrooms accessed via an external 1st floor courtyard, 25,000 sq ft of basement ancillary space, and a new contemporary restaurant, bar, and wedding venue building.
