Equestrian Architects in Northumbria

Creating bespoke spaces specifically designed for horses is one of our main areas of expertise, and we have experience in the design of stables, horse stalls, lunging arenas, horse walkers and more.

Our ethos revolves around precise, functional, and innovative equine architectural services, providing you with reassurance that we understand the unique requirements of equine building design.

Expertise: As RIBA chartered architects, our credentials are both proven and recognised. This is complemented by our expansive portfolio of equestrian centre architecture and equestrian extensions, reflecting our breadth and depth in the industry.

Functionality: Our emphasis on equestrian facility design services is unwavering. From stable architecture to indoor horse arena construction, functionality remains paramount. Each project undergoes meticulous planning to ensure optimal utility and safety.

Client-Centric Approach: Our commitment to clients is uncompromising. We actively engage in collaborative dialogues, ensuring the final product aligns with client aspirations and equine requirements.

Innovation: While our methods are rooted in tried and tested techniques, we constantly seek advancements. Keeping abreast of the latest in equestrian design ensures that our solutions are not only relevant but also future-proof.

Expertise in Protected Areas and Historical Structures

Over the years, our extensive portfolio has expanded to include projects within some of the UK’s most delicate and environmentally significant regions.

National Parks & Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB): Navigating the strict regulations and guidelines in these preserved zones requires a unique skill set. Our team has successfully delivered projects within these areas, balancing the essence of equestrian design with the ecological and aesthetic sensitivities inherent to such locations. Our collaborative approach, coupled with robust research, ensures that every project aligns with both client aspirations and environmental responsibilities.

Conservation Areas: Our experience spans not just National Parks and AONBs but also the nuanced intricacies of Conservation Areas. We take pride in our ability to integrate contemporary equestrian architecture with the heritage and character of these areas, maintaining integrity while introducing modern functionality.

Listed Building Status: Structures with Listed Building Status pose unique challenges due to their historical significance and strict conservation criteria. Horsley Townsend holds a commendable track record of working on such buildings. We approach these projects with a deep respect for their historic fabric, ensuring our architectural solutions are sensitive, appropriate, and in harmony with the building’s legacy and surrounding landscape.
