Horsley Townsend Architects was established in 2001 by Bill Horsley and Guy Townsend and we are now in our 21st year. The majority of our work is in Yorkshire and the North of England. However our portfolio includes work in Dorset, Kent, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Republic of Ireland.

We are an established architecture practice with extensive experience in designing unique swimming pools. Unique swimming pool design

Thanks to our wide-ranging experience in indoor pool design, we have developed a tried and tested approach which begins with an in-depth consultation. This initial consultation is an important opportunity for us to explore your aspirations and ideas, whilst paying close consideration to the opportunities available. We’ll also discuss with you any potential constraints which may apply to your property, such as listed building status, for example. Following our initial consultation, we’ll create a project brief, designed to meet your requirements and aspirations.

 

When it comes to swimming pool installation, a range of options can be available. This means that you don’t necessarily have to be constrained by your home’s location or the size of its footprint. Some of our recent projects have included the design and construction of garden pool buildings, swimming pools housed in purpose-built extensions and basement pools.

Once the design and planning stages are complete, we will coordinate surveyors and other consultants who may be required. During this stage, we will source several competitive tenders from specialist swimming pool builders. Once your project is underway, we’ll carry out regular site inspections.
