Commercial & Residential Architects Leeds
About our Leeds architectural service
At Horsley Townsend Architects we are an architect practice with experience of working on a diverse range of residential and commercial architectural projects throughout Leeds, Yorkshire and the UK. We specialise in simple extensions to residential properties, new houses, multiple housing sites, office builds and industrial units.
Our recent projects have included restaurant and hotel refurbishments and renovations, home extensions and the conversion of historic barn buildings and a farmstead. We’ve worked on projects in National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, at World Heritage Sites, in open countryside and inner city areas.
If you are looking for architects in Leeds, by working with us you can relax in the knowledge that our experience – we were established in 2001 – combined with our professional skills, can help you turn your ideas for your property into reality.
The way we work
We are members of the Royal Institute of British Architects and by working with RIBA Chartered architects such as ourselves means that you are employing architects who have been trained to the highest levels of design and construction expertise.
We’ll begin your project – no matter how small – by meeting you at your property to talk through your project and to discuss possible ideas. There is no fee for this stage of the project and after our meeting you will be sent a written quotation outlining our charges.
The way we work can be roughly divided into four ‘stages.’ The first stage will take you up to the submission of a valid planning application whilst stage two is up to the submission of a building regulations application to ensure your project is built to stand the test of time!
Stage three consists of the preparation of construction drawings; these drawings can be used by you to help you obtain quotes from builders and once you have appointed a builder, will be used by them to construct your project
The final stage, stage four, will be to assist you during the construction phase of your project.
As we use the standard RIBA appointments; this means that you have the flexibility to appoint us for all four stages, or if youprefer, just one or two.
