Swimming Pools
Horsley Townsend Architects have been involved with the design and construction of many domestic swimming pools; and in addition been involved with hotel and spa pools; and are currently involved with a school swimming pool.

Glazed pool hall

A deck level pool with 3 fully glazed outer walls, allowing uninterrupted views of the garden. A contemporary building with an oversailing flat roof, located in the grounds of an early nineteenth-century detached villa. Schuco sliding doors and curtain walling, ashlar stonework and bespoke prefinished aluminium fascia panels.

Swimming Pool Project

Detached pool building with 16m pool and gym.

A pool building cut into a sloping hillside, with retaining walls in fair faced exposed concrete. Externally clad in insulated Western Red Cedar, internally with an exposed metal and timber roof structure. Concealed pool cover housing, frameless glass internal partitions, Krion wall cladding by Porcelanosa, Erco lighting; and Schuco sliding doors and glazing.

Swimming pool in an AONB

A pool building located in the Hambleton Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With far reaching views, the pool hall is predominantly glazed, with sliding panels of hit and miss cedar louvres to provide privacy and solar shading. The roof is cedar clad with concealed gutters.

Basement swimming pool

A pool set in a basement excavated partly underneath an existing house and partly underneath an existing garden. The pool is a 6.5m deck level pool with an Endless Pools Fastlane Counter Current Unit. The pool has exposed fair faced concrete walls, with other internal walls in Krion panelling by Porcelanosa. A bespoke precast concrete stair by SpiralUK, and an automated sliding rooflight by Glazing Vision. Internal double-glazed Baya partitons and doors by Clestra Hauserman, and lighting by Astro.
